Investments from foreign partners into defense of Ukraine will amount to USD 1.5bn, told president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko during his speech dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Military Forces of Ukraine. The president elaborated on the issue revealing that more than 40 contracts are in the process of implementing. The total worth of the contracts stands at USD 1.5bn. Meantime, Ukraine itself is strengthening its defense capacity by developing its military-industrial complex. Domestic enterprises produced more than 1 300 modern military units of machinery and equipment. At this, 700 of military units were repaired, told the president Petro Poroshenko.
