Liechtenstein MSP Stiftung Foundation buys 9.9% shares of AlfaBank

The investment fund will place his head of the supervisory board in Alfa Bank

The regulating authorities of Ukraine approved the transaction upon which the Austrian banker Martin Schwedler will become the head of the supervisory board of Alfa Bank.

Martin Schwedler has many years of experience in corporate finance and investment banking business in such companies as GE Capital, Raiffeisen Investment AG and Lazard Frères Gestion.

The management of Alfa Bank welcomes a new partner in the person of MSP Stiftung. In the future, MSP Stiftung plans to increase its share in Alfa Bank up to 24.9% stake.

The MSP Stiftung Foundation was created by Austrian businessman Martin Schlaff. The Fund holds stakes in Sigma Kreditbank AG (Liechtenstein), as well as about 25% of the shares of RHI Magnesita NV.

The new corporate structure of Alfa Bank looks, as follows: Mikhail Friedman (29.62%), German Khan (18.89%), Alexey Kuzmichev (14.7%), Petr Aven (11, 17%), and MSP Stiftung (9.9%).
