Norwegian Scatec Solar to invest in solar power plant in Ukraine

The company will build a solar power plant in Cherkassy region of Central Ukraine

Norwegian Scatec Solar voiced its readiness to invest in construction of a solar power plant in Kamianka of Cherkassy region of Central Ukraine. The projected capacity of the plant will be 25MWt, the representatives of Scatec Solar made the announcement at the meeting with Yuriy Tkachenko, the chairman of the Cherkassy State Administration.

Scatec Solar has implemented many projects in various parts of the world for cumulative 322 MWt of the solar power capacity. Additional 434 MWt are in the phase of implementation too.

Scatec Solar works in Czech Republic, Republic of South Africa, Rwanda, Honduras, and Jordan.    

Scatec Solar will undertake its first project in Kamianka in Ukraine, as Cherkassy region rely have attractive business climate, told Anne-Marie Lilieard the vice president of the development of the project of Scatec Solar ASA.

The investor will start construction in the nearest future, told the company’s representative.
