Novus opened a logistics center in Kyiv with $100 million in loans from the EBRD

The Novus retail company opened a new logistics center in Kyiv, which merged with seven smaller

Novus CEO Mark Petkevich said that the area of the new Novus logistics center is 40 thousand square meters. m. The facility has been operating since January 2024. Petkevich did not disclose the address of the distribution center for security reasons.

Mark Petkevich noted: “We will need about six more months to set up automation in it and install all the necessary equipment, but it is already operating at 80% of capacity and shipping goods.”

In 2020, Novus took out a loan from the EBRD to build the project. The company planned to invest $100 million in the construction of a warehouse, as well as the development and renewal of a network of stores, in particular, the Billa stores that were then purchased.

In March, the press service reported that in connection with the opening of the new center, all warehouses leased by the company will be closed in 2024. We are talking about seven centers, in particular, another own logistics center in the Kiev region. Its total area was 50,500 square meters. m, of which 42,500 sq. m – warehouse premises.
