Google announces second fund to support Ukrainian startups worth $10 million

Google is launching the second stage of the US$10 million from the Google for Startups Ukraine Support Fund in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Digital Development, Ukrainian startups will be able to receive up to $100 thousand. These funds can be invested in restoring a business damaged due to the war, scaling or creating a new product to fulfill the company’s tasks.

The main requirements for applicants for funding are the presence of a registered legal entity in Ukraine and an MVP with potential commercial success and value for users.

Priority will be given to companies using artificial intelligence.

In addition to funding, Google can provide startups with an additional $350 thousand in Google Cloud credits. Startups will have access to Google's innovative solutions and products and will be able to expand opportunities for team development, the statement said.

Mikhail Fedorov, Deputy Prime Minister for the Development of Innovation, Education, Science and Technology - Minister of Digital Transformation, said: “Google for Startups Ukraine Support Fund has already allocated $5 million to support Ukrainian startups. The launch of the second Support Fund of $10 million is an opportunity for companies not only to develop and create new products, but also to contribute to the restoration of the country’s economy.”
